ABOUT FRANKIE PAYNE

Internationally known for his groundbreaking work with hair, Frankie Payne has created iconic looks for some of the biggest names in show business and fashion, and in the process, defined emerging trends for two decades in modern pop culture.

A native to Los Angeles, Frankie relocated to Chicago where he trained at Vidal Sassoon. He then returned back to Los Angeles and began working at the world famous José Eber Salon, where he worked for thirteen years. During that time his good friend Orlando Pita, international hair phenomenon, invited Frankie to style hair on his team grooming the tresses of supermodels backstage at fashion week in Paris, Milan, and New York.

This prompted Frankie to pursue a career as a freelance  hair stylist, collaborating with some of the world’s most acclaimed photographers including Herb Ritts, David LaChapelle, Bruce Weber, and Matthew Rolston. His work is constantly in demand by Hollywood celebrities who need to look their best for red carpet award shows, interviews and photo shoots; giving him a client roster that includes Eva Longoria, Kim Kardashian, Fergie, Brad Pitt, Paris Hilton, Selma Hayek, Justin Timberlake, Nicole Scherzinger, Ben Affleck, Katie Holmes, and many more.

With such a background it’s not surprising to find that Frankie’s work has been featured in such renowned publications as Vogue, Elle, W, InStyle, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, GQ, Rolling Stone, Interview, Details, Flaunt, and I.D.

In addition he has worked on music videos for artists such as Justin Timberlake, Black Eyed Peas, Pussy Cat Dolls, Aerosmith and Lenny Kravitz.
