The 9-9 and the 2000s ignited Davontae Washington’s love affair with hair.  Born and bred in New Orleans, this southern boy can distinctly recalls the hairstyles that captured the zeitgeist of that period. Beehives, swooped bangs and countless exotic looks were prominent in NOLA during that era, and as a kid, Washington gawked at these hair marvels with awe.
