Los Angeles & New York based Jules Wood is a British born freelance stylist who has lived and worked in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York.
Upon graduation from art school, her desire to travel landed her in Tokyo, where she worked with Japanese pop stars such as Hikaru Utada and Fay Ray as well as poet Chris Mosdell amongst others. Having become fluent in Japanese, after four years she returned to London where she assisted Vivienne Westwood and Yohji Yamamoto in their London boutiques and dressed celebrities such as Sir Elton John, Charles Saatchi and Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys.
While in Hong Kong, Jules was offered an opportunity as Fashion Editor at B International Magazine where she remained for 2 years. Having achieved her goals in Hong Kong, she decided to move to New York City working as a Fashion stylist for magazines such as Nylon, Paper, Zink, Tatler HK, and Marie Claire, Elle US, Zoo Magazine, Galore Magazine, Client Magazine, Carbon Copy and Beauty Rebel.
Her client list includes a vast array of celebrities and super models such as Helena Christensen, Franz Ferdinand, Jeremy Piven, Shia LaBeouf and Lou Reed, Angela Martini, Mischa Barton and Irina Lazareanu. Her work has recently been seen on the red carpet and across the globe on client and Oscar-winner, Laura Poitras. As well as working in New York City she has continued to work with Asian clients such as Nintendo, Tatler HK, Marie Claire HK.
In 2011, Jules Wood was invited to be the New York Fashion Editor of Client Magazine and Beauty Rebel. In less than a year Wood has styled 3 cover stories and this successful relationship blossoms.
In 2014, Jules was asked to join the new New York – based Reserved Magazine as both partner and Fashion Editor. A rapidly-growing independent editorial project attracting and featuring top celebrities, fashion, art, writers and influencers in the creative world.
